This pairing represents our continued commitment to preserving the Decker Rat Terrier as a functional, athletic, and well-balanced working dog. Both Hoss and Eden exemplify the qualities we value most: correct structure, natural drive, intelligence, and steady temperament. This breeding was thoughtfully selected to produce puppies capable of excelling in the field while remaining loyal, biddable companions in the home. About the Sire & Dam Hoss (Sire) is a powerful, confident male with strong prey drive and natural hunting ability, paired with a calm, stable disposition. Eden (Dam) brings athleticism, focus, and excellent structure, along with an attentive and people-oriented temperament. After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided to bring my foundation female out of retirement for one final litter. At 8 years old, she has been the heart of my program. She has given me some truly exceptional dogs over the years — intelligent, loyal, athletic companions with the loving family temperament that makes me love this breed so much. She has produced dogs that are wonderful in the home while still keeping the natural drive, confidence, and personality that Decker Terriers are known for. This breeding is very special to me personally, as I plan to keep a female from this litter to continue her line and preserve the traits she has consistently passed on to her puppies. Her health, happiness, and comfort come first and always will. She is still active, healthy, and thriving, and this will absolutely be her final litter before being retired permanently and spayed to enjoy her retirement here with us on the property. This is not a breeding being done out of necessity, but out of love for this bloodline and the desire to carry a piece of her forward for years to come. We are still in the planning stages on the stud we will be using.
Summer 2026 Planned Breeding We are excited to announce a planned June breeding between Boyds Creek Decker Sadie Man and Valaurora & CCD Mira. This pairing brings together proven Decker Terrier bloodlines known for intelligence, athleticism, versatility, sound structure, and loyal family companionship. Both dogs possess the temperament and working ability that have made the Decker Terrier such a respected breed among active families, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts. Sadie Man is a well-built male with excellent drive, confidence, and a friendly disposition. Mira is an exceptional female with outstanding instincts, intelligence, and a stable, affectionate temperament. Together, they represent generations of carefully selected Decker Terrier breeding. Expected puppies should mature into versatile companions suitable for active homes, farm life, hunting, hiking, and family environments. Puppies will be raised with daily socialization and exposure to household and outdoor activities to help ensure confident, well-adjusted temperaments. Reservations are now being accepted for approved homes. Preference will be given to families who understand and appreciate the active, intelligent nature of the Decker Terrier.
